Accenture named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Cybersecurity Risk Management Services 2023 Vendor Assessment

According to IDC analysis in this inaugural assessment, Accenture has been positioned as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Cybersecurity Risk Management Services, 2023 Vendor Assessment.

The IDC MarketScape evaluated vendors that provide CRM services throughout the world and those included in the study had to meet certain criteria such as geographic and sales presence, customer base, revenue, and CRM services capability.

The IDC MarketScape notes Accenture’s cyber-risk and regulatory service is made up of five core sub-services:

  • Geopolitical cyber-risk advisory. Provides frameworks to assess the impact of geopolitical risks on the cybersecurity posture of clients.
  • IT governance, risk, and compliance. Enables clients to be more efficient and effective at integrating tools and platforms for their risk, compliance, audit, threat intelligence, security operations, third-party risk management (TPRM), policy and BCM programs.
  • Supply chain security. Improves visibility into risks linked to third-party, and nth party, partnerships.

Accenture Positioned as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Asia/Pacific Oracle Application Implementation Services 2023 Vendor Assessment

Accenture has been positioned as a leader for the second consecutive year according to the IDC MarketScape: Asia/Pacific Oracle Application Implementation Services 2023 Vendor Assessment, authored by Rijo George Thomas.

According to IDC, “Accenture hinges its differentiation in the Oracle application implementation service market on its ability to enable Total Enterprise Reinvention which is centered around building a strong digital core for the enterprise to drive growth and optimize business operations.”

IDC also mentions that “Accenture is an ideal partner for large and complex multigeography deployments of Oracle Cloud solutions in Asia/Pacific. Additionally, clients will find Accenture's depth of industry solutions and functional transformation experience a value-add when scaling Oracle-led modernizations.”

This IDC study assesses Oracle application implementation vendors in the Asia/Pacific region on both the strength of their current implementation service capabilities and how well placed they are to grow the adoption of Oracle application solutions with their respective sound growth strategies.

For Accenture’s strengths, IDC cited its “strong local practice in Asia/Pacific”, “full spectrum of transformation services” as well as our “mature relationship with Oracle”. Accenture has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Artificial Intelligence Services 2023 Vendor Assessment (doc # US49647023, May 2023)

The report evaluated the capabilities of providers of services including AI-related business consulting and BPO services, and IT services including IT consulting, systems and network implementations, IT outsourcing, application development and management, IT deploy and support, and IT education and training related to AI applications and infrastructure spending.

The IDC MarketScape report noted, “According to customers, Accenture's strengths are the company's ability to showcase and codevelop relevant use cases for AI solutions, use next-generation tools and methodologies to deliver AI services, and deliver AI center of excellence services. IDC considers Accenture's strategies around next-generation tools and methodologies, client adoption, sales and distribution, alliances, innovation and R&D, and technology and business skills as key strengths.”

Additional Key Findings from the Report Include:

  • The most critical vendor attribute for successful AI services engagements, according to IDC's Artificial Intelligence Services Buyer Perception Survey, remains "ability to achieve business outcomes." The perceived priority of this attribute over all others was unchanged from the 2021 study.
  • When buyers were asked about the primary business objective driving their engagement of their artificial intelligence services vendor, at a worldwide level, the most frequent responses were "improve operational efficiency," "build capability for tomorrow's business," and "drive higher revenue growth, gain market share." Nearly 30% of the buyers we surveyed said they achieved 30% or greater improvement in measurable KPIs from their AI services engagement.
  • The top-rated vendor attribute, in aggregate, was the ability to "integrate vendor project team with internal team." This aligns with IDC's evaluation of client adoption strategies around workshops and stakeholder alignment and AI program enablement as top areas of strength on average across AI services vendors. PAC names Accenture Overall Leader in Servicenow Services in Europe

Accenture has been positioned as the Overall Leader in the PAC RADAR for ServiceNow Services in Europe 2023 by Spencer Izard.  

The scope of this report as defined by PAC includes ServiceNow workflow-specific capabilities including IT, HR, GRC, CSM, Security, and Creator Workflows; and assesses 21 leading ServiceNow vendors.

As strengths, PAC noted Accenture’s “clear and impressive growth strategy” highlighting how Accenture has “continued to expand its industry-led solutions rapidly” and “continued growth to reduce operational friction and accelerate the scale of delivery within and across regions”. 

There were 20 other vendors assessed in this report. Accenture #1 in Managed Security Services and #3 in Security Consulting Services in Gartner Market Share Reports

Accenture has the highest market share in the Market Share: Managed Security Services, Worldwide, 2022 and the third highest market share in the Market Share: Security Consulting Services, Worldwide, 2022, by revenue in Gartner research.

According to Accenture’s Fiscal Year 2022 results, Accenture’s security revenue was $6 billion. Accenture’s security revenue can be categorized into three areas:

  1. Managed Security Services (Gartner estimate of 2022 revenue is $1.6 billion)
  2. Security Consulting Services (Gartner estimate of 2022 revenue is $3.1 billion)
  3. Security implementation services, which is not included in Gartner’s definition of Managed Security Services or Security Consulting Services; using Gartner’s estimates for Managed Security Services and Security Consulting Services, Accenture calculates its 2022 Security implementation services revenue at approximately $1.3 billion 

Managed Security Services

For the first year, Accenture has been ranked number 1 in managed security services market share by revenue in the Market Share: Managed Security Services, Worldwide, 2022 by Gartner. According to Gartner, the managed security services market grew 15.8% in current USD, reaching $16.98 billion in revenue. According to the report, Accenture's managed security services revenue grew 45.2% in 2022 while also increasing its market share to 9.3%.

Security Consulting Services

Accenture has been positioned with the third highest market share by revenue in the Market Share: Security Consulting Services, Worldwide, 2022 by Gartner. This represents an increase from last year’s report, in which Accenture was positioned with the fourth highest market share. According to Gartner, the security consulting services market grew by 12.4%, reaching $29.8 billion in 2022, from $26.5 billion in 2021. According to the report, Accenture's security consulting services 2022 revenue growth of 45% was the highest among the top 20 largest vendors, and its market share increase of 10.4% was the highest of all vendors included in the report.

Gartner’s definition of security consulting services includes both security and risk services covering three broad categories with related sub-services: 1) governance, advisory and assessment, 2) operations, and 3) incident and legal response. Gartner’s definition does not include implementation services, maintenance/support services, or IT outsourcing.

In the report, titled “Open Finance IT Services PEAK Matrix® Assessment 2022,” Accenture is positioned as a Leader for both Market Impact, which assesses service providers against criteria such as market adoption, portfolio mix and value delivered to clients; and Vision & Capability, which measures firms’ strategy, scope of services, innovation & investments, and delivery.

The report, “Enterprise Blockchain Services PEAK Matrix® Assessment 2022,” analyzed 23 blockchain service providers in global enterprise blockchain services, including blockchain ecosystem management services, application and business logic services, middleware services, protocol services, and infrastructure services.

Accenture has been recognized as the number one service provider overall for enterprise blockchain services in a recent report from industry analyst firm HFS Research.

The Report, HFS Top 10: Enterprise Blockchain Service Providers, 2021, assessed 12 leading blockchain services providers based on detailed discussions with their leadership teams, inputs from their enterprise clients, and analysis of thousands of blockchain engagements across industries worldwide.

Accenture ranked No. 1 overall as well as in four of the 12 evaluation criteria, including scale and growth, delivery footprint, ecosystem reach and OneOffice alignment.

IDC MarketScape names Accenture a leader in incident readiness services

Accenture has been positioned as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape analysis of worldwide incident readiness providers.

The report — “IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Incident Readiness Services 2021 Vendor Assessment” (Doc #US46741420, November 2021) — analyzes 14 service providers in worldwide incident readiness services, reviewing both quantitative and qualitative characteristics that define current market demands and expected buyer needs.

Accenture has been named a Leader among Salesforce consulting providers in “The Forrester Wave™: Salesforce Consulting Partners, Q2 2021” report. Accenture received top scores in the “Current Offering” and “Market Presence” categories.

According to the report, “Accenture is Salesforce’s largest partner, with more than 20,000 practitioners working on Salesforce projects and with deep experience across all major Salesforce Clouds.” It also notes, “Accenture stands out for its scale and ability to tackle complex transformation work,” and that “the provider has unparalleled breadth and depth of capabilities spanning technology, design, consulting, long-term operations, and skills, not only with Salesforce but also with the Salesforce ecosystem.”
